Girls Leadership Academy Meetup (GLAM)

GLAM equips girls ages 8-12 with business, computer coding and leadership skills, along with the confidence to pursue senior leadership roles. Named 2016 Event of the Year and 2018 Community Involvement Program of the Year by the Stevie Awards.

GLAM

GLAM (Girls Leadership Academy Meetup) was founded by iTalent Digital’s CEO, Renée La Londe, with the mission to equip girls across the globe with the skills and confidence to seek leadership roles, feel power within their voice, and create positive change in the world.

The annual event each summer is a 2-day immersive program that inspires girls ages 8-12 to break the gender gap, peek their interest into the world of tech, and not be afraid of leadership roles.

Eight basic principles are covered:

  • Leadership
  • Creativity
  • Coding
  • Business Planning
  • Strategy
  • Teamwork
  • Entrepreneurship
  • Pitching Your Plan

The primary goal of GLAM is for each girl to feel nurtured and empowered to define and articulate their dreams with the tools needed to create a vision and plan for the future.

Visit them online to learn more about the leading women in tech who contribute to GLAM, and how you can get involved!

The vision

We envision a world where all girls and young women feel empowered and supported to reach their fullest potential, regardless of
socio-economic circumstances.
